The tomb of a Roma baron who died 11 days ago was blown up in Ruse during the night. The last home of the revered Kardarash 64-year-old Simeon Todorov was desecrated. The family is convinced it was a vendetta against their family, and police are investigating the incident.
The blasting device was placed under a 25 cm thick concrete slab, pointing inward at the grave and the dead. Relatives identified the perpetrators as ravagers and have strong suspicions who stands behind the attack. „Only 11 days after the death… I have no words to dedine this. As my father was a great man and no one could stand up to him, now, after his death, they want to make some kind of statement”, commented son Ivan Todorov. The relatives are adamant that it is not a robbery since nothing was stolen from the the tomb`s interior.
„It was committed by a man who has both money and power. The police said it was a specialist because he specifically turned the blast to go to the grave, otherwise he would have demolished other graves, „says the widow Kinka Todorova.
Police are investigating the case.
